Every year, numerous Hollywood stars flock to the Greek islands, with Mykonos being a popular destination. Among this year's visitors to the "Island of the Winds" is the renowned actor George Clooney, who recently arrived at the local airport.
George Clooney touched down at 1:30 p.m. and his visit to Mykonos is attributed to an invitation to a special event taking place there. Stringent security measures were in place at the airport during his presence. The actor arrived on a Learjet and later boarded a black van, as reported by Mykonos Live TV.
Clooney appeared amiable and exchanged friendly gestures with the airport staff, as captured in a video where he can be seen smiling and acknowledging their presence.
In other news, George Clooney's upcoming MGM film, "The Boys in the Boat," directed by himself, is scheduled for a wide release on December 25th.
The movie is based on Daniel James Brown's acclaimed non-fiction bestseller, recounting the inspiring true story of the 1936 University of Washington rowing team's pursuit of Olympic gold during the Great Depression. The cast includes notable actors such as Joel Edgerton, Chris Diamantopoulos, Callum Turner, Jack Mulhern, Sam Strike, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms, Tom Varey, Bruce Herbelin-Earle, Wil Coban, James Wolk, Hadley Robinson, and Courtney Henggeler.
Mark L. Smith has adapted Brown's book for the screen, and the film is produced by Clooney, Grant Heslov, and Donna Gigliotti in collaboration with MGM, Smoke House Pictures, and Spyglass Media Group.
